This time, this place is a public art project which was completed on Clare Island, Co. Mayo during 2006. Funding for this project was made available by the Department of Community, Rural & Gaeltacht Affairs under the Percent for Art scheme.

Jim Vaughan, an artist on the Mayo Artist Panel 2005 - 2006 was selected for this commission by means of a limited competition. He made photographs himself on the island and also held photography workshops for the island community.

Poet Macdara Woods, a frequent visitor to the island, was commissioned to write a poem to complement the project. A selection of the photographs made by Jim and the Clare Island community along with Macdara's poem Fifteen Contacts were printed in a book also titled This time, this place.
